Scooter Accidents Injure UGA Athletes

Categories: News

With the price of gas over $3 per gallon, scooters are becoming a common sight around Atlanta, Athens, and other towns in the Atlanta area.  This also means that scooter accidents are becoming more common.

University of Georgia Linebacker Ray Drew, a freshman from Thomasville, was injured recently in a scooter accident in Athens.  He was the second UGA player to be injured in the past several months due to a scooter accident.  The other, Derrick Lott, a defensive end for the Bulldogs, sustained a gash on his right leg and spent a month on the sidelines.

Protective clothing such as heavy pants, a helmet, and gloves can help.  However, with little protection between a rider and the pavement, scooter accidents can be serious.  If you’ve been injured in a scooter accident, it may be the fault of an automobile driver who wasn’t paying attention.  Give Krause Law Firm a call.  We can help you recover your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
